Home at last

I’m BACK!

The last 3 days was tiring! Nearly fell sick.

Yesterday reach Singapore at about 10.00p.m. It was late so in the end went to my Aunt house to overnight.

Came back home this morning. And I am still tired.

I will slowly update about my 3 days trip to Genting the next few days. :)

Oh! Today is O-level Mother Tongue Exams. Hope that all my friends that are taking the exams today can do well! 加油!

Off to Genting

Going to Genting from 28/05 to 30/05!

Not gonna be around until the late afternoon of 30/05.

Jacqueline going to go too, same time. Lols. It is really coincidence. But she said that previously she didn’t want to go when her mum first asked her. Then because she heard I’m going then she go. Hmmm… So fake. :P

Anyway, got back my EL composition today. As I scored 20 for it, I passed my overall for EL. Luckily… I wonder why I can score so high too… Hmm… But I made an improvement for composition so I’m happy! :D

And it is the June holiday already. But I am not going to call mine a holiday since there are lessons on the first 2 weeks. In addition, there are both A and E Maths TYS to complete as well as the Chinese Mock Exam assessment book. Haizzz…

10 places I want to go in future

Jacq and I say that we are going to post this on our own blog writing the top 10 places we want to go in future. :D

1. Korea! I want to shop in Seoul, go Han River which is beautiful at night and see Korean stars. (Just joking.) I want to eat their traditional food that I see on their dramas and not to forget to go to the places where their dramas were filmed.

2. Canada. 2 places I want to go: Vancouver and Toronto. I want to go Vancouver as my uncle studied there last time and it seems fun. For Toronto, I want to see the Niagara Falls that located at the border of Canada and America.

3. Australia, Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania. Always wanted to go to have Sydney and Melbourne since a number of my friends went before. I want to see the Sydney Opera house! As for Tasmania, got interested when I saw a TV programme on travelling and they went to Tasmania. The weather there looks good and I want to see the Tasmania Devil. Haha!

4. New Zealand. Where many dairy products comes from here in Singapore! I also don’t know when I got interested in NZ but I think it will be from the time when SHINee went to NZ to do their photo shooting for their photobook.

5. Japan… Most likely Hokkaido and Tokyo. Want to go Hokkaido cause it is cheaper then other cities of Japan. Hehe. I want to eat fresh sashimi! Then go see Mt. Fuji and go to Tokyo Disneyland!!! Oh, got interested because of my mum and Japan Hour which is shown on CNA.

6. Taiwan. Where good food is. Watch a lot of Taiwan shows and dramas. I my mum been there before. She say not bad. So I want to go. But not very sure where to go if I am to visit there. Maybe I would want to go Yu Ren Ma Tou.

7. Greece. I want to go Athens to see Aegean Sea and The Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. Love Greece as their infrastructure is nice and is next to the sea. It looks romantic too. Love it everytime I see the place on TV!

8. France, Paris. City of Love. And of course I want to go see the Eiffel Tower and Mona Lisa. Not forgetting that Paris has also many fashion brands. Haha. Hope that my honeymoon trip will be here. My mum went Paris last time too.

9. Italy. I want to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Colosseum. It is the must see in Italy. Haha. Also I want to go to the smallest country in the world Vatican City as well since it is located in Italy. Oh and my mum went Italy before.

10. Lastly is London. I want to go ride on London Eye and see the Tower Bridge. Also on the 10 place is China, Beijing and Harbin. I want to see the Great Wall of China in Beijing and see snow in Harbin. My mum said that we will either go Hokkaido or Haerbin to see snow.

Other countries I may want to go… Argentina, US, other parts of Europe, Phillippines, Shanghai etc. Too many to list. Haha.

I got so many countries that I want to go. I don’t think I can finish visiting all of them.

Fun weekend!

Came back from Malacca today. I thought that this time round the trip to Malacca was very satisfied even though it was very simple. We arrive on Sunday so we won’t miss visiting Jonker Walk that day. Hehe! Finally ate the asam laksa and sushi. Bought a new umbrella, the wine bottle kind one, which is cheaper than the ones sold here. And of course the hp pouch I wanted, a new bracelet and a keychain. Monday went to a nearby place for fishing in the morning then went Madame King in the afternoon. In the evening went to Makota to shop. Down there bought a black shorts, shirt and a new school bag. Thats about it le ba… Cause after that went back to the condo we rent and this morning left the place. But I thought the breakfast we had this morning was quite nice. It was their herbal bak kut teh (sorry not sure how to spell). It is really different compare to those here. And it seems like the place is quite popular too since there are some newspaper report about the place.

P.S: If you might wonder why I didn’t visit to place of attractions, cause I every year also go Malacca. I went to those places many years ago le. Haha!

Short trip…

Going to Malaysia tomorrow morning…

Will not be around until next Tuesday, 22nd of December.

I want to eat the nyonya laksa there!!! HEHE!

And buy a new handphone pouch…

Goodbye people! See you guys next week… :)

Vietnam trip

Been sleeping like a pig yesterday. Teehee…

About my Vietnam trip… Hmm… It was fun of course. Haha! Ate lots of seafood cause it is super cheap compare when you eat it in Singapore. Like down there 1 crab cost only SGD$10. It is really true… Plus got to eat those big head prawns. Haha! Eat seafood until I am a little scared of it right now. But most likely not going to eat any of those in S’pore. Then we also ate their local delicacies like the pho’. It is like those white noodles actually. They call it pho’ which is suppose to read as fur(or something like that la). It is quite nice cause the soup is not bad. We ate pho’ at pho’ 2000. The place is located in Ho Chi Minh City, District 1 and it is quite popular cause the previous US president, Bill Clinton brought her daughter to ate at that restaurant before. Btw, 1 of the days we went there, we sat at the table he used to sit. Lol!

About tourist attractions… There isn’t a lot to see in Vietnam plus the country is not quite developed and used to have war, the conditions were also very good. But we still went to some quite famous ones like their War Remnants Museum, The Reunification Palace, General Post Office etc. Learn a little about their history like the war between the Americans which was very scary especially when you saw the pictures and how they reunited back with the Northern Vietnam. Oh… Ho Chi Minh City used to be called Saigon and was changed to name after Ho Chi Minh later.

Of course there also must be some shopping. There are lots of local handicrafts which are mostly very beautiful. And there is the Saigon Square where you shop for some branded goods. Not all are real but some are as people that worked in factory that produce branded goods may steal 1 or 2 out to sell. Hence some of them only have 1 of that particular things. The people there are mostly very thin so when you buy clothes, most likely to have to buy a bigger size. Normally I buy a M and sometimes S in S’pore but in Vietnam, I have to buy  L size ones. T.T Don’t mind going to An Dong Market too, located in HCMC District 5 where you can buy some cheap food stuff. Like their local Vietnam Coffee or maybe Cashew nuts etc. If you buy more, don’t mind bargaining for a cheaper price. Hehe…

Lastly, let me talk a little about their traffic. The place have very hectic traffic when it is sometimes difficult to cross the road. But if you dare to cross the road and not be frighten, the vehicles will still slow down for you. However don’t be shocked when you are crossing half way, 1 motorbike zoom pass in front of you. It is normal as they will still drive pass you when they can and slow down when they can’t. The speed limit of vehicles is about 40 to 50 km/h which is very slow be slow enough to stop when people crosses the road. And it is for sure more scary than the roads of China. Just a small statistics. In Ho Chi Minh City, there are about 9 million people but the number of motorcycles are about 1 million. So yup,  what you see on the road would be mostly motorcycles. Since the motorcycles are more affordable… And don’t find it weird when you see 4 people on a motorbike, 2 adults and 2 kids. Oh, just a small reminder, when you walk on the streets of Vietnam, please be careful or you might trip and fall. Their grounds are quite uneven…

And I guess that is all I will say. And this is also the end of me talking bout my overseas trips. Wow! 600 plus words. I really said a lot. Teehee…

China trip

I was too obsess with GDA yesterday so didn’t post about my trip…

I thought the most memorable thing would be the one that we spent in the school. Their school lessons are different from ours. It is all in Chinese making us not understanding completely since our lessons are conducted in English instead. Then the students are all very enthu to answer the teacher’s questions unlike us, still need our teachers to pick students. Their lesson periods are longer than ours, lunch break too (they have 2 hours lunch break) and lastly, their school ends later then ours. So it was quite different hence joining them for lessons for 3 days was quite a fun experience. And on the day when we were leaving, I actually cried which made me a little shocked cause I didn’t expect that a short period of time which we spent with them can make me cry upon leaving.

Another thing that I like about this trip is that I became closer with some of my friends. We talk and laugh at lot of this trip cause there are a few friends that joke around. We got to the point that teacher was a bit annoyed by us. Haha! I suddenly miss the trip cause it was really fun for us to be together, gagging around…

Of course I also get to know more about China…  Not only did we went to Xiamen, we also went to Shantou and Zhangzhou. Got to visit many tourist attractions like the Gulangyu (an island near Xiamen), Tulou (where many Hakkas live), Jimei School Village (? not sure what is the English) which is founded by Tan Kah Kee, we also saw Tan Kah Kee’s grave there which was in a turtle shape, saw Teochew Opera where some of my friends got to dress up in their costumes etc. The trip was really enriching.

Last of all, the meals that we ate were scary. There is always at least 8 dishes. And usually they will serve a lot cause this is a tradition in China. They will usually serve a lot as they think that if the people are able to finish it that means they didn’t serve enough. Hence they rather have left overs. Thats why I think I became fatter from the trip. Emo-ing now. Thinking ways to slim down.

There is really too many things to say so summarize it. If not I will have to type until tomorrow. Plus some details I forgotten already. Hehe… So that is all for my China trip. I will talk about my Vietnam one tomorrow! :D
